So i have been arranging my travel money and currency exchanges piling up in my wallet ready for my trip. The main preparation is the packing; always be sure to pack light and ready, i have an old raincoat, a jumper, sandals, hiking shoes, a few tees, shorts and trousers, just one. So, not much because i don't need much. Making sure i bring my favorite English snacks i won't be able to see out there for a few weeks and a book to read! You can buy an adapter out there which is cheaper for you and also exchange your money out there too which is better (although its ideal to have some anyway for transport and somewhere to stay etc.)
So where to next?
First stop, Kuala Lumpur! KL is a progressive world class city capital of Malaysia. It boasts skyscraper skylines, the presence of global brand names and an educated population.
I shall be spending just 4 days in this city before moving onto my next stop.
Terima kasih - thank you in Malay :))) (i'm getting there)
Next stop is Indonesia, Bali! Which is a beautiful island with a variety of landscapes of hills and mountains. It is a winner for travelling and definitely worth a visit so i am exciting to be finally heading there!
I will be staying at Kuta for a few days and volunteering at a children home helping in the kitchen which is so exciting! Something different to what i have done too! Then to East Bali to visit their most important volcano and famous black sand beaches. Ubud for their rice fields and Ulu Watu for their white sand beaches below the cliffs! This is a rough plan of mine which may change but who knows what it will bring!
After a lovely week in Bali, the next stop is Tokyo, Japan!!!!!! Tokyo never stops as you all know so i am extremely excited to embrace their culture for i have such deep curiosity. Ready to blow my mind in the heart of the city, the world's largest megalopolis will seem so intimidating! By research understanding that Japan is one of the most, perhaps the most, expensive country in Asia, it is not a matter of survival on a shoestring budget surely. It will be interesting however how i will go about the city within my budget as i have aims in each destination which i am keen to blog about when i am out there. I believe it is entirely unnecessary to spend as much as one would on travelling and come home to no money and cry about being broke despite spending the best times of your life out there. So with every move i do, i will be sharing where i go, how much i spend and the tricks of the fooling a tourist while in the country! Anyway, everything i do, i will blog about as it's nice to pass on what i know and learn to others when they wish to travel where i am heading. Especially if you wish to go alone (or in a group), be on a budget, and know where to go!
Hopefully after a hectic time at Tokyo i will be ready for my last stop in Seoul!!!!! With a wealth of historic sights, South Korea seemed like a great plan before heading home. Keen for the open-air markets, food, palaces, art, entertainment and museums, i am looking forward to drawing in the infamous cafes while people watching and engaging in the busy city.
Flying with Emirates is new for me as i have always flown with different airlines to experience the service they provide. Especially with each airline boasting different qualities or better qualities, it is interesting and necessary for me to actually see this in action. Also not to be selfish by sticking with one airline and disgracing another. Although, Singapore Airline by far has been the most amazing airbus travel i have ever been with and this was flying to Cambodia when i was 17. I could go on about them but i can't betray emirates now?!
Not only i travel, i try as much as i can to help those i live among while i am there. I be sure to give back, learn from the different cultures and to create my own path and leave a trail.
I'll be back with information on my campaign for deaf people in employment and deaf awareness!
